Serves 4

15 oz | Part-skim Ricotta |
½ | Bunch fresh basil, chopped |
2 | Links precooked Chicken Sausage, diced |
½ cup | 2% milk |
2 | Garlic Cloves |
½ tsp | Red pepper flakes |
⅛ tsp | Salt |
2¼ Cups | Tomato Pasta Sauce |
8 | No-boil Lasagna Noodles |
¼ cup | Grated Parmesan |
- Preheat the oven to 425⁰f. Mix the ricotta, basil, sausage, milk, garlic, pepper flakes & Salt.
- Spread ½ cup of the tomato sauce on the bottom of an 8X8 baking dish. Lay 2 noodles over the sauce; cover with ¼ of the ricotta mixture & another ½ cup of the tomato sauce. Repeat with noodles, cheese mixture and sauce twice more. Top with a last layer of pasta, the remaining ricotta mixture & sauce, and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil & bake for 20 Minutes. Remove the foil & bake for another 15 minutes, until the top is golden.
Can Replace the ricotta with Béchamel, and the tomato sauce with Bolognese
Béchamel: Melt 2 Tbsp unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in 3 Tbsp flour. Cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in 3 cups 2% milk, a few Tbsp at a time to prevent any lumps from forming. Add 2 chopped garlic cloves & simmer, whisking often, for 10-15 minutes, or until nicely thickened. Stir in 2 Tbsp Parmesan and season with salt and pepper.
Bolognese
½ Tbsp | Olive Oil |
3 cloves | Garlic, Minced |
1 medium | Carrot, diced |
2 Stalks | Celery, finely chopped |
1 medium | Yellow Onion, diced |
6 oz | Ground Turkey |
6 oz | Ground Pork |
6 oz | Ground Sirloin |
1 can | Diced Tomatoes |
2 Tbsp | Tomato Paste |
1 Cup | Chicken or Beef Broth |
1 Cup | Milk |
2 | Bay Leaves |
| Salt and Black Pepper to Taste |
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, carrot, celery & onion & sauté until the vegetables are cooked through, about 5 minutes. Add the turkey, pork & sirloin and stir with a wooden spoon until the meat is no longer pink.
- Drain any accumulated fat from the bottom of the pan & add the tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, milk, & bay leaves. Turn the heat down & simmer for at least 30 minutes (& up to 2 hours), until the sauce has thickened. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
