Cincinnati-Style Chili

Betty Crocker's Fix-it-Fast Family Favorites: Pg 302

Serves 5

 
 

½ lb

Ground beef

1

Large Onion, Chopped

1 can

Whole Tomatoes, Undrained

1 can

Kidney Beans, undrained

8 ounces

Tomato Sauce

1 Tbsp

Chili Powder

1 package

Cooked Spaghetti

1¼ cups

Shredded Cheddar Cheese


 


 

  1. Cook beef & about ¾ cup of the onions in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown & onions are tender; drain.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce & chili powder; breaking up tomatoes. Cook uncovered over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired consistency.
  3. Meanwhile, cook & drain spaghetti as directed on package.
  4. For each serving, spoon about ¾ cup beef mixture over 1 cup hot spaghetti. Sprinkle each serving with ¼ cup cheese & about 1 tablespoon remaining onion.
