Betty Crocker's Fix-it-Fast Family Favorites: Pg 302
Serves 5
½ lb | Ground beef |
1 | Large Onion, Chopped |
1 can | Whole Tomatoes, Undrained |
1 can | Kidney Beans, undrained |
8 ounces | Tomato Sauce |
1 Tbsp | Chili Powder |
1 package | Cooked Spaghetti |
1¼ cups | Shredded Cheddar Cheese |
- Cook beef & about ¾ cup of the onions in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown & onions are tender; drain.
- Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce & chili powder; breaking up tomatoes. Cook uncovered over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired consistency.
- Meanwhile, cook & drain spaghetti as directed on package.
- For each serving, spoon about ¾ cup beef mixture over 1 cup hot spaghetti. Sprinkle each serving with ¼ cup cheese & about 1 tablespoon remaining onion.
